Archivalie, personenbezogen (1443 Objekte ) , Staatsarchiv Nürnberg (1928/1944) :

Description

Dr. Richard Herz (b. 1894) originally came from Rastatt, was unmarried and would appear to have had no children. He worked as a lawyer in Nuremberg and was last recorded as living in Fürth. Since being deported to Auschwitz on 18 June 1943 no further trace of Dr. Herz has been found. One core area of his extensive legal estate (c. 7 running metres) lies in asset management and processing on behalf of emigrants or deportees. This archival material forms part of a batch of documents from the District Court of Fürth. According to a note from the director of the district court at that time, these came into the possession of the court shortly after Dr. Herz’ deportation to Ausschwitz on 5 August 1943.
