International Provenance Research Day - The "Forschungsverbund Provenienzforschung Bayern" introduces itself

Which institutions are active in provenance research in Bavaria and how? How should one imagine this? What is it all about?

The online event on Wednesday, 12 April 2023 (zoom from 13.00 to 15.00) will provide an overview in a compact form. After the introduction by the chairman of the Bavarian Provenance Research Association (FPB), Dr. Matthias Weniger from the Bavarian National Museum, more than 25 museums, libraries and research institutions will present their activities. Even though prerequisites, structures, framework conditions and resources are very different: No contribution will last longer than 180 seconds. After about 90 minutes, the discussion will be opened and questions can be asked (in the chat also during the short presentations).

Moderation: Christian Fuhrmeister, Central Institute for Art History, Vice Chair of the FPB
The event is being organised in cooperation with the "Arbeitskreis für Provenienzforschung"
